IPL 2020: AB de Villiers' six brings traffic to a halt in Sharjah during RCB vs KKR game
De Villiers was in a beast mode with the bat and smashed an unbeaten 73 off 33 balls.
The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) had to face AB de Villiers special in Sharjah on Monday. De Villiers came out to bat at number four when the team needed to up the ante. KKR had bowled well until then and they were expected to restrict the opposition to an under-par total. However, little did they know that RCB’s best man will come out and smash them all across the park.
AB de Villiers smacked six sixes during his blitzkrieg and two of them went out of the ground and rather the ball ended up hitting one of the moving vehicles on the roads in Sharjah. The incident happened in the 16th over of the innings when Kamlesh Nagarkoti was bowling.
In the same over, RCB, led by De Villiers, had cleared their intentions to hit almost every ball. And the youngster ended up dishing out the fourth delivery of the over in the slot to the batsman. The South African marauder just got under the slower one and slammed it high and long into the stands. The ball went out of the stadium and hit one of the vehicles which led to the traffic coming to a halt in Sharjah.

RCB smash 83 runs in last five overs
It was just the start of the AB de Villiers show in the last five overs of the innings. He literally hammered every opposition bowler out of the park not sparing even the likes of Pat Cummins and Andre Russell. Within no time, the former South African cricketer got to his fifty off just 23 deliveries and comfortably outscored his skipper Virat Kohli during the unbeaten 99-run stand for the third wicket.
De Villiers ended on 73* off just 33 balls with five fours and six huge maximums to his name. Kohli dropped anchor at the other end and scored a sedate 33 off 28 deliveries with only a single four. He really didn’t have to anything different after his partner was batting in a beast mode.
