IPL 2020: Jofra Archer mimics Jasprit Bumrah's bowling run-up during RR vs MI game

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) were involved in the 45th match of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on October 25, Sunday. Royals entered this contest after losing a close match to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The team has had a disappointing season so far and would be looking forward to redeeming themselves in the upcoming games. Mumbai, on the other hand, is proudly placed at the top of the points table with seven wins in 11 games. They look to be a team to beat in this tournament and are deemed as the favourites to win this clash against RR.

Before the match commenced, both the teams were assembled at the stadium for the practice. During this period a video of England’s lethal pacer Jofra Archer went viral on the internet. In the short clip, the seamer can be seen imitating the opposition pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The hilarious video is winning hearts all over social media.

Bumrah and Archer in IPL 2020

Both Archer and Bumrah are considered as most valuable players for their teams Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians respectively. The two have been successful in making noteworthy contributions in winning the games for their franchises and are the prime contenders of winning the Purple Cap. In 12 matches played, Archer has emerged as one of the most dangerous pace bowlers with an economy of 6.71 and an average of 18.82. The English Superstar has taken 17 scalps thus far in the league while giving 320 runs in 286 deliveries.

Archer has also played the role of a finisher with the willow for the Royals. He has collected 107 runs in four innings at a strike rate of 198.14 and average of 21.40, 27* being his highest score.

Bumrah, on the other hand, is also reeling at 17 wickets in eleven fixtures at an economy of 7.52 and average of 19.47. In 264 balls bowled, he has just leaked 331 runs with 4/20 being his best bowling spell in IPL 2020.
