2. Suresh Raina- Chennai Super Kings(CSK)
If there is an award for consistency in the IPL, then it has to go to Suresh Raina. Out of the 12 seasons that the left-hander has played, he has aggregated 400 or more runs on 9 occasions. Raina has undoubtedly been the most important member of the Chennai Super Kings squad after the iconic Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Raina is also the most capped player for the Chennai franchise, having featured in a staggering 164 matches for the ‘Men in Yellow’. In the 160 innings that he has played for Chennai, Raina has scored 4527 runs at an average of 33.28 and a strike rate of 137.34. He also has scored the most number of fifties for Chennai (32) and also has a hundred to his name.
Raina’s only century for Chennai came in the year 2013 against Kings XI Punjab. In a 53 ball stay in the middle, the left-hander clobbered 7 fours and 6 sixes on his way to 100* to help the Chennai side beat Punjab by 15 runs. As of now, Raina will be unavailable for the tournament having pulled out of the 13th edition of the IPL due to personal reasons.
