IPL 2020: Manish Pandey makes a 7.6 feet dive to take a breathtaking catch
To justify his reputation of an excellent fielder, Manish Pandey dived leaps and bounds to probably take the best catch of the tournament.
The ongoing match between Mumbai Indians and Surisers Hyderabad is a much-anticipated one owing to strong batting line ups from both the squads. Since the match is being played in Sharjah, it is expected to be a high-scoring game from both the ends as more than 1000 runs have been made on the same pitch.
Winning the toss, Mumbai Indians decided to show up with the willow first, but skipper Rohit Sharma went back early, scoring only six runs. Suryakumar Yadav (27) and Quinton de Kock (67) stitched 42 runs together to give their team the much-needed strength. De Kock added 70 more runs with Ishan Kishan before getting knocked out of Rashid Khan’s delivery.
In the meanwhile, Kishan was looking to play some big strokes and attacked Sandeep Sharma. On the last ball on the 15th over, Sharma bowled a slower ball and Kishan tried to smash it towards the long-on boundary. It was a flat shot, and the ball had boundary written all over it.
However, the man in that area was Manish Pandey, who had entirely different plans. He was already low after a misfield and a dropped catch before, which went for a boundary. To justify his reputation of an excellent fielder, he dived leaps and bounds to probably take the best catch of the tournament. Kishan had to return to the pavilion for 31 runs in 24 balls.

Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya scored 28 runs, and dangerous Kieron Pollard added 25* from his end. Krunal Pandya, who didn’t get the chance to show up yet with the bat, looked furious and decided to smash each and every delivery out of the ropes. He scored a quickfire of 20 runs in just four balls, which comprised of two sixes and two fours.
Sandeep Sharma showed his best actions with the ball from SRH’s end as he conceded 41 runs to names two scalps to his credit. Mumbai is looking forward to getting the match in their account and maintain their dominance in the game. It’s the only franchise that has lifted four IPL trophies so far and will thrive their best to get one more in their bag.
