Chennai Super Kings continue to remain at the bottom of the points table as they suffered a 7-run defeat in the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday. Batting first, the Sunrisers collapsed to 69/4 by the start of 11th over but Priyam Garg made most of the opportunity smashing an unbeaten 26-ball 51 as SRH finished with 164/5. The CSK team never looked like chasing the target due to the wickets they lost regularly early on. They reached 71/4 by end of the 14th over but some late striking by Jadeja and Dhoni enabled them to reach 157/5.

Here are all the statistical highlights from Sunrisers Hyderabad’s victory against Chennai Super Kings:

A hat-trick of defeats for the Super Kings:

Dhoni goes past Raina:

Priyam Garg’s record fifty:

23Priyam Garg’s 23-ball fifty is now the joint-fastest in the IPL by an Indian for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Yuvraj Singh also scored a 23-ball fifty in the 2017 season opener for the Sunrisers. These two are the only IPL fifties by Indians coming in less than 24 balls for SRH while the overseas players have managed nine of them including seven by David Warner.

4 – Garg is only the 4th player for SRH to score an IPL fifty while batting at No.5 and lower. Daren Sammy scored 60 against RR while batting at No.7 in the 2013 season while Biplab Samantray made 55 in the same season against the same opponent at No.5 position. Earlier in 2018, Manish Pandey scored an unbeaten 57 against Kings XI Punjab while batting at five.

A century without duck for Dhoni:

100* – The unbeaten 47 in this game was MS Dhoni’s 100th T20 inning in a succession where he did not bag a duck. He thus becomes the first Indian to not bag a duck in as many as 100 consecutive T20 innings. Dhoni’s last T20 duck came against Mumbai Indians during the 2015 IPL Qualifier.

Jadeja’s maiden fifty:

50 – The fifty that Ravindra Jadeja scored in this match is his maiden fifty in the IPL and also his first in Twenty20 cricket. Jadeja has played as many as 241 matches in the Twenty20 format till date. His highest score in previous 240 T20s was 48 against Deccan Chargers during the 2012 IPL.
