IPL 2020: Match 44, RCB vs CSK – RCB Predicted Playing XI
Will RCB make any change to their line-up?
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have had a successful season so far in IPL 2020. Their team has looked balanced and their bowlers have finally gained the confidence of their skipper as well. In the last game, RCB had a perfect outing as they restricted KKR for a mere 84 runs and the massive win boosted their Net run rate as well.
However, they would be worried about their openers as they have given starts but both of them are yet to score big knocks from last few matches. Bangalore will be facing CSK in their next encounter who are struggling in this competition. Another victory will ascertain RCB’s playoffs spot and they would be raring to go on the field.
Here is the predicted playing XI of RCB for Match 44, RCB vs CSK:-
Openers (Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal)
RCB have been quite consistent with their opening pair. The left-right combination of Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal have played all the games and they have had mixed performances. For Padikkal, it will be important to maintain good strike rate and Finch’s form has been in trouble in the recent games. As the tournament is at the business end, RCB would want their openers to fire more often.
Middle Order (Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Gurkeerat Singh Mann)
As Dubai’s pitch is expected to slow down, Virat Kohli’s approach of taking singles and doubles can be extremely important. Also, the RCB skipper played a match-winning knock against CSK in their last clash and he would want to repeat that. AB de Villiers is in tremendous form in this season and RCB would want their biggest match-winner to continue in that fashion. Gurkeerat Singh Mann is a floater for Bangalore and he will provide depth to their batting.
All-rounders (Washington Sundar and Chris Morris)
Both of their genuine all-rounders have bowled phenomenally in this season. Both are among the leading wicket-takers and their economy has also been exceptional. However, they haven’t got much chance to bat in IPL 2020 due to their strong top order. If RCB’s top order fails, this can be an issue for them.
Bowlers (Isuru Udana, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini and Mohammed Siraj)
Isuru Udana is their death overs specialist, however, he is yet to be challenged for this hefty task. Yuzvendra Chahal is their leading wicket-taker and as the pitch might become slow, his role will be extremely significant. Navdeep Saini is Kohli’s go-to bowler in various situations in this tournament and the RCB skipper would expect him to continue in the same form. Mohammed Siraj, the hero of the last game would be hoping for a similar performance against CSK who are already struggling with their batting order.
