Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) managed to hold on to their hopes of qualifying for the playoffs in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The team, led by David Warner, came out firing on all cylinders and beat the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 88 runs at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

With the victory, the Orange Army also moved to fifth in the points table with five wins from 12 games. The Capitals’ decision to field first backfired miserably as Warner’s men amassed 219 for the loss of two wickets in their 20 overs.

In the run-chase, DC lost wickets upfront and could never gain any sort of momentum whatsoever. After a lot of struggle, Shreyas Iyer and Co scored 131 all out. Having lost their last three matches, the Capitals need to find back their winning momentum with two games left in the league stage.

Here are the SRH Player Ratings for the SRH vs DC match:

David Warner- 9/10

David Warner went hammer and tongs in the powerplay and helped SRH amass 77 runs in the first six overs. The southpaw managed a 34-ball 66 with eight fours and two sixes before Ravi Ashwin dismissed him.

Wriddhiman Saha- 9.5/10

Wriddhiman Saha replaced Jonny Bairstow in the eleven and he was on top of his game. The right-hander scored 87 runs off 45 balls with 12 fours and two sixes. Anrich Nortje accounted for his wicket.

Manish Pandey- 8.5/10

Manish Pandey made amends for his horrendous knock against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The Nainital-born notched 44 runs off 31 balls and stayed unbeaten until the very end. He hit four fours and one six.

Kane Williamson- 5/10

Kane Williamson came to bat in the 15th over after Wriddhiman’s dismissal, but, somehow, he couldn’t get the big shots going. The New Zealand captain scored 11 runs off 10 balls with one four.

Vijay Shankar- 7/10

Vijay Shankar could bowl only 1.5 overs in which he conceded 11 runs at an economy of six. He got the prized wicket of DC skipper Shreyas Iyer. But then he had to walk off due to a hamstring injury.

Abdul Samad- N/A

Jason Holder- 4/10

Jason Holder was taken apart a wee bit in his spell of four overs. The West Indies limited-overs skipper gave away 46 runs at an economy rate of 11.50. He got the wicket of Ravichandran Ashwin.

Rashid Khan- 9.5/10

Rashid Khan was absolutely stupendous. In his four overs, he conceded a meagre seven runs at an unimaginable economy of 1.75 to go with 17 dot balls. The tweaker also got three crucial wickets.

Sandeep Sharma- 9/10

Sandeep Sharma found his mark as well throughout his four overs. The speedster conceded 27 runs with 11 dots. Then he also pinned the in-form Shikhar Dhawan and a rusty-looking Rishabh Pant.

T Natarajan- 9/10

T Natarajan was excellent with the ball in hand. The left-arm seamer gave away only 26 runs in his four overs with 11 dots. He also accounted for the wickets of Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje.

Shahbaz Nadeem- 7/10

Shahbaz Nadeem, surprisingly, was used only for a solitary over. In the six balls he bowled, he gave away eight runs. Most importantly, the left-armer got rid of the dangerous Marcus Stoinis in the second over.
