The youngest player in the Delhi Capitals squad is Nepal&#8217;s only player in Indian Premier League, Sandeep Lamichanne.  The wrist-spinner from Nepal is just 19 years old. He impressed in his first two IPL seasons &#8211; picking up 13 wickets in 9 matches, at a strike-rate of 16.15. Lamichhane is a clever bower and has multiple variations that help him in picking up wickets regularly. He is currently playing for the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League.

The Delhi Capitals have a pretty solid team ahead of next season and their spin bowling unit, though small in size, looks pretty lethal. Arguably the finest teen cricketer in the world, Mujeeb ur Rahman has shown skill and maturity above and beyond what is expected of a 17-year-old. He initially came into the limelight after bamboozling batsmen and taking bags of wickets in the Under-19 Asia Cup and World Cup, and now, a mere few months later, he is one of the premier spinners in the world.

Mujeeb, who is a &#8216;mystery spinner&#8217; in every sense of the phrase, has already had impressive stints in the IPL in India (14 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 6.99) and the T20 Blast in <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/kagiso-rabada-fined-for-breaching-icc-code-of-conduct-to-miss-fourth-test-against-england/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">England </a>(9 wickets in 12 matches at an economy rate of 7.09). Further, he has done exceptionally well at the international stage, having taken 44 wickets in 23 ODIs at an economy rate 0f 3.84 and 9 wickets in 7 T20Is at an economy rate of 5.07.

He, along with compatriot Rashid Khan, is putting Afghanistan on the cricketing map and making them into one of the premier teams in the world. Without Ravichandran Ashwin in their side KXIP, the onus on the spin bowling attack falls 0n the able shoulders of Mujeeb. He needs to fire on all cylinders for the KL Rahul led franchise to do well in IPL 2020.

Prasidh Krishna emerged on to the scene in 2018 and impressed everyone with his pace and accuracy. In the seven games he played, Krishna picked up 10 wickets at a strike rate of 16.80. Moreover, he bowled exceedingly well in some high-pressure games at the death.

Krishna has played a couple of seasons in the IPL. While he tends to be expensive, he can pick wickets. He took 10 wickets from seven games in the 2018 season but was disappointing in 2019. However, Krishna has put a disappointing IPL season behind him and has started afresh. Leg-spin has become a trend across the globe in white-ball cricket. We see more and more wrist(leg)-spinners coming to the fore. Their importance has grown as even though they tend to go for a few runs they also pick up wickets. The trend has picked up in Indian too.

India’s white-ball spin attack is largely dominated by the two wrist-spinners, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. Apart from the two, there are multiple ones coming through the ranks in domestic cricket. One among them is Rahul Chahar.

Mumbai Indians have a bare spin bowling attack this upcoming season, with youngster Rahul Chahar who made his India debut recently leading the attack. There is an all-round spin bowling option in Krunal Pandya but he could go for runs especially at the death overs. Mumbai Indians will definitely need to bank on the youngster and ably support him.

Rajasthan Royals are known to recognize talent early and rope in youngsters to nurture and make them superstars. James Faulkner, Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson are the three biggest examples where unknown commodities have turned out to be an integral part of the team. Devdutt Padikkal is the latest addition to the list of Indian batting prodigies who can make it big in the future. The 19-year-old ended up as the leading run-scorer in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, tallying up 580 runs in 12 games including a match-winning 122 off 60 balls against Andhra Pradesh. In the journey, he slammed 33 sixes which was also the highest in the tournament.

Royals Challengers Bangalore acquired the <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/test-cricket-will-always-remain-special-cheteshwar-pujara-after-his-ranji-heroics-against-karnataka/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Karnataka </a>opener at his base price of INR 20 lakhs ahead of IPL 2019. Going by their team combination, RCB have openers in Parthiv Patel, Aaron Finch, Josh Phillippe, and the skipper ‘King’ Kohli himself.

Since Kohli is expected to bat at No.3 to reinforce the middle-order, RCB clearly lacks Indian opening options. This is where Devdutt Padikkal will play a significant role for them as the Bangalore-based franchise would want foreign players to strengthen their fast-bowling. With the form that the youngster is in, he might play a key role for RCB in 2020.

Padikkal is so attractive and pleasing to the eye that people may look forward to RCB’s games just to see him bat. He has got all the shots in the book and it would be in the best interests for RCB as a franchise to play him in all fourteen games as an opener with Aaron Finch.

The youngest player in the Delhi Capitals squad is Nepal&#8217;s only player in Indian Premier League, Sandeep Lamichanne.  The wrist-spinner from Nepal is just 19 years old. He impressed in his first two IPL seasons &#8211; picking up 13 wickets in 9 matches, at a strike-rate of 16.15. Mujeeb, who is a &#8216;mystery spinner&#8217; in every sense of the phrase, has already had impressive stints in the IPL in India (14 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 6.99) and the T20 Blast in <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/kagiso-rabada-fined-for-breaching-icc-code-of-conduct-to-miss-fourth-test-against-england/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">England </a>(9 wickets in 12 matches at an economy rate of 7.09). Prasidh Krishna emerged on to the scene in 2018 and impressed everyone with his pace and accuracy. In the seven games he played, Krishna picked up 10 wickets at a strike rate of 16.80. Moreover, he bowled exceedingly well in some high-pressure games at the death.
Krishna has played a couple of seasons in the IPL. While he tends to be expensive, he can pick wickets. He took 10 wickets from seven games in the 2018 season but was disappointing in 2019.
