Mumbai Indians (MI) topped the points table in the league stage of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL). The team, captained by Rohit Sharma, has carried forward their dominance and have qualified for the final to be played in Dubai. They would be getting a break of four days before the all-important game.

On Thursday, Mumbai beat the Delhi Capitals (DC) by 57 runs at the same venue. After being put in to bat first, MI racked up a colossal score of 200 for the loss of five wickets in their 20 overs. In the run-chase, they reduced the Capitals to none for three.

Marcus Stoinis threatened for a brief while, scoring 65 runs off 46 balls with six fours and three sixes, but his efforts went in vain. As far as DC are concerned, they would now be playing in the second qualifier in Abu Dhabi.

Here are the MI Player Ratings for the MI vs DC match:

Quinton de Kock- 8.5

Quinton de Kock started in an aggressive manner and took advantage of the powerplay. The southpaw scored 40 runs off 25 balls with five fours and one six before getting out to Ravi Ashwin.

Rohit Sharma- 2/10

Rohit Sharma didn’t have a game to remember, from the batting point of view. The right-hander bagged a golden duck. Ashwin trapped him in front after which the batter thought about taking the DRS.

Suryakumar Yadav- 9/10

Suryakumar Yadav put his best foot forward, scoring 51 runs off 38 balls. His knock was laced with six fours and a couple of sixes. Anrich Nortje dismissed him after he hit one down the throat of Daniel Sams.

Ishan Kishan- 9.5/10

Ishan Kishan was a tad rusty in the early part of his knock, but once he got the measure of the conditions, he was unstoppable. The left-hander stayed unbeaten on 55 off 30 with four fours and three sixes.

Kieron Pollard- 3.5/10

Kieron Pollard survived an LBW shout in the first ball he faced. In the very next ball, Ravi Ashwin caught him in front and he couldn’t open his account. With the ball, he gave 36 runs and dismissed Axar Patel.

Krunal Pandya- 8/10

Krunal Pandya batted at number six and he smashed one massive six. But after a 10-ball 13, he perished to Marcus Stoinis. With his left-arm spin, he gave 22 runs at 5.50 with the wicket of Rishabh Pant.

Hardik Pandya- 9/10

Hardik Pandya came to bat in the 17th over and he threw the kitchen sink at everything. The right-hander hammered 37 off 14 balls at a strike-rate of 264.28, hitting five colossal sixes in the stand.

Nathan Coulter-Nile- 7/10

Nathan Coulter-Nile couldn’t pick up a wicket, but he didn’t leak a whole lot of runs either. In four overs, he gave away only 27 runs. Moreover, he bowled 10 dot balls and was hit for a few boundaries.

Trent Boult- 9/10

Trent Boult started in a thunderous manner, picking up the wickets of Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane, who both couldn’t open their account. He also bowled a wicket maiden in his first over.

Rahul Chahar- 1/10

Rahul Chahar didn’t have the most memorable day. The leg-spinner was entrusted for only a couple of overs where Marcus Stoinis took him apart. In the 12 balls he bowled, Chahar leaked as many as 35 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah- 9.5/10

Jasprit Bumrah, well and truly, was on top of his game. The speedster got rid of Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer and Marcus Stoinis. Along with a maiden, he conceded only 14 runs at a rate of 3.50.
