Delhi Capitals (DC) had quite a few stutters in the second half of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the team, captained by Shreyas Iyer, made a stupendous comeback, beating the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 17 runs in the Qualifier 2 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

They also made their way through to the finals for the first time in the history of the tournament. DC will be facing the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday, November 10 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

As far as the last game was concerned, DC smashed 189 for three in their 20 overs. Kane Williamson gave them an almighty scare, scoring 67 runs off 45 balls, but they somehow got over the line. The Sunrisers were excellent of late, but couldn’t get past the finishing line in the crunch game.

Here are the DC Player Ratings for the DC vs SRH match:

Marcus Stoinis- 9.5/10

Marcus Stoinis opened the batting for the first time in the IPL and he was stupendous. In 27 balls, the right-hander scored 38 runs with the help of five fours and one six. He also picked up three crucial wickets.

Shikhar Dhawan- 9/10

Shikhar Dhawan racked up yet another half-century off 26 balls. But he slowed down a wee bit as he ended with 78 runs off 50 balls with six fours and two sixes. He was trapped in front by Sandeep Sharma.

Shreyas Iyer- 4/10

Shreyas Iyer strained with the bat in hand after coming at number three. He scored 21 runs off 20 balls with a solitary four. Jason Holder accounted for his wicket when he tried to go for a big shot.

Shimron Hetmyer- 9/10

Shimron Hetmyer came to bat after the end of the 14th over and he was on his mark from the outset. The southpaw stayed unbeaten on 42 runs off 22 balls with the help of four fours and one six.

Rishabh Pant- N/A

Ajinkya Rahane- N/A

Pravin Dubey- 7/10

Pravin Dubey bowled only a couple of overs, but he didn’t give much away to the SRH batters. The leg-spinner conceded a solitary six and gave away 14 runs at a rate of seven to go with three dot balls.

Axar Patel- 7.5

Axar Patel bowled reasonably well. In his four overs, the left-arm spinner conceded only 33 runs at a rate of 8.25. He also picked up the crucial wicket of Jason Holder, who could have turned dangerous.

Ravi Ashwin- 2/10

Ravi Ashwin bowled the first over of SRH’s run-chase and he was expensive. In three overs, the off-spinner went for 33 runs at a rate of 11. He also was a tad erratic as he gave away a couple of wides.

Kagiso Rabada- 9.5/10

Kagiso Rabada rattled David Warner’s woodwork to start his spell. Then in his last over, the speedster picked up three more wickets. In four overs, he gave away 29 runs with 12 dot balls.

Anrich Nortje- 3/10

Anrich Nortje didn’t have the best of days with the ball in hand. The fast bowler leaked as many as 36 runs in his spell of four overs. He, however, took a decent catch of Manish Pandey at mid-off.
