The addition of Glenn Maxwell is something that shall highly benefit the Kings XI this year. He has an excellent record in the UAE. He is expected to be their marquee all-rounder this season. Coming off the back of a Man of the Series victory in the England ODI series, he would be looking to go all guns blazing.

Jimmy Neesham has also been a crucial asset for New Zealand in the limited-overs formats. With his handy batting and bowling skills, he could come in as a replacement for Maxwell if the need be, or he could even make the XI as per the conditions.

Chris Jordan has been a good death bowler, although he will have to step up with the bat as well. The Indian all-rounders lack experience, but they are highly talented. If KL backs his all-rounders, we could be in for a treat.

Mumbai Indians have a strong core of all-rounders since quite some time now. Pollard and the Pandya brothers have been constants for the team since 2015. They have proved their worth for the team in demanding situations in the past, and are expected to do the same this season as well.

Kieron Pollard performed extremely well in Caribbean Premier League, scoring runs and taking wickets for his side. Hardik Pandya returned to cricket after an injury break. His brother Krunal is also expected to make good use of the conditions in the UAE.

Sherfane Rutherford is a good backup for Kieron Pollard, while Nathan Coulter-Nile can replace James Pattinson if Mumbai Indians are looking to increase their batting depth. All in all, the reason for MI’s formidable record is the trust they have shown in their all-rounders.

RCB also have a decent group of Indian all-rounders in terms of talent. Washington Sundar has done well for the national team in the shortest format. Shivam Dube has had a few good games here and there.

The crucial aspect for RCB is going to be finding the right balance when it comes to the final playing XI. They need to understand the match situation and select the players accordingly, in order to yield the best possible results.

Marcus Stoinis had an excellent first match against Punjab. Delhi would be hoping that he continues this form throughout the course of the season. Axar Patel was also highly effective after Ashwin left the field because of injury.

Stoinis had an excellent BBL as an opener. In case DC’s openers are not in form, Shreyas Iyer could promote him to open the innings. Ashwin and Patel batting well could be an added bonus for Delhi in the IPL.

For Delhi to stand a chance at winning the title this season, their all-rounders must step up at times of crisis- just like Stoinis did in the first game.

Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. These names instil fear in the minds of the opposition. These players do not require any introduction. There is no doubt about the fact that Russell is the greatest T20 cricketer in the present generation, while Narine is not far behind.

Andre Russell had a mammoth season last year, hitting sixes at will. He is also an extremely impactful death bowler, and he remains the most lethal player in the squad. Narine is expected to open along with Shubman Gill or Rahul Tripathi. He is also going to be KKR’s most crucial bowler. Their big buy Cummins can also be extremely effective lower down the order.

KKR doesn’t have any major Indian all-rounder, but they do not need them. Their Indian core of Nitish Rana, Gill, Dinesh Karthik, and the new pacers is considerably well-placed, and KKR could be in for a great season this time around in the IPL.

The uncertainty regarding Ben Stokes’ availability this season remains a headache for the Royals. Tom Curran would have to fill in his shoes for the time being. Riyan Parag would also be under pressure to perform after starting well last season.

Shreyas Gopal is the key Indian all-rounder for Rajasthan. His leg-spin and finishing abilities have been pretty good over the past couple of seasons. He has taken the wickets of big fish like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. If he can improve his striking ability at the death overs, RR could be well placed.

Mahipal Lomror has done well at the U19 stage. It will be interesting to see how he performs when he gets a chance to play. Rajasthan seem to be quite reliant on their overseas players, and for them to succeed, Indian players other than Gopal, must also step up.

SRH have two quality Afghanistan spin bowling all-rounders in Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. The latter has taken 55 wickets in the three IPL seasons he has played. Besides that, he has also been highly impactful with the bat.

Nabi had a very good season at the Caribbean Premier League, where the pitches are similar to that in the UAE. He can solve SRH’s finishing woes, and give them four guaranteed overs every game of the IPL.

SRH doesn’t have very impressive Indian all-rounders. Abhishek Sharma has played well in the domestic circuit but is yet to prove himself in the Indian Premier League. Vijay Shankar also needs to step up to strengthen SRH’s middle order.

Coming off the back of a Man of the Series victory in the England ODI series, he would be looking to go all guns blazing. 
Jimmy Neesham has also been a crucial asset for New Zealand in the limited-overs formats. With his handy batting and bowling skills, he could come in as a replacement for Maxwell if the need be, or he could even make the XI as per the conditions.
Chris Jordan has been a good death bowler, although he will have to step up with the bat as well. The Indian all-rounders lack experience, but they are highly talented. If KL backs his all-rounders, we could be in for a treat.

<h3>2. Mumbai Indians- 9/10</h3>

All-Rounders: Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Sherfane Rutherford
Mumbai Indians have a strong core of all-rounders since quite some time now. Pollard and the Pandya brothers have been constants for the team since 2015. They have proved their worth for the team in demanding situations in the past, and are expected to do the same this season as well.
Kieron Pollard performed extremely well in Caribbean Premier League, scoring runs and taking wickets for his side. Hardik Pandya returned to cricket after an injury break. His brother Krunal is also expected to make good use of the conditions in the UAE.
Sherfane Rutherford is a good backup for Kieron Pollard, while Nathan Coulter-Nile can replace James Pattinson if Mumbai Indians are looking to increase their batting depth. All in all, the reason for MI’s formidable record is the trust they have shown in their all-rounders.

<h3>3. Royal Challengers Bangalore- 8/10</h3>

All-Rounders: Chris Morris, Moeen Ali, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmad, Isuru Udana, Pavan Deshpande, Pawan Negi
The Royal Challengers shall be banking on Chris Morris and Moeen Ali, their seasoned all-rounders, to go all guns blazing if they are to do well this season. Morris was roped in to solve RCB’s death bowling woes, while Ali is expected to be handy in the spin-friendly tracks of UAE.
RCB also have a decent group of Indian all-rounders in terms of talent. Washington Sundar has done well for the national team in the shortest format. Shivam Dube has had a few good games here and there.
The crucial aspect for RCB is going to be finding the right balance when it comes to the final playing XI. They need to understand the match situation and select the players accordingly, in order to yield the best possible results.

<h3>4. Delhi Capitals- 8/10</h3>

Marcus Stoinis had an excellent first match against Punjab. Delhi would be hoping that he continues this form throughout the course of the season. Axar Patel was also highly effective after Ashwin left the field because of injury.
Stoinis had an excellent BBL as an opener. In case DC’s openers are not in form, Shreyas Iyer could promote him to open the innings. Ashwin and Patel batting well could be an added bonus for Delhi in the IPL.
For Delhi to stand a chance at winning the title this season, their all-rounders must step up at times of crisis- just like Stoinis did in the first game.

<h3>5. Chennai Super Kings- 8.5/10</h3>

All-Rounders: Sam Curran, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Mitchell Santner
CSK have a good foreign core in their playing XI. With all-rounders like <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2020-sam-curran-reacts-to-ms-dhonis-decision-of-promoting-him-up-the-batting-order/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sam Curran</a> and Dwayne Bravo, they have the perfect blend of youth and experience. Someone like Shane Watson used to be an all-rounder, but he does not bowl now. Yet he could also add value and mentor the young all-rounders.
Ravindra Jadeja could be CSK’s MVP this season. With the pitches tending to be friendly for the Super Kings, Jadeja could add value in all 3 aspects- batting, bowling and fielding. Sam Curran had a great first game, and he would expect to continue in a similar fashion for the Men in Yellow.
Mitchell Santner could come in as a handy replacement during the latter half of the tournament, when the pitches would be expected to become a little slower.

<h3>6. Kolkata Knight Riders- 9.5/10</h3>

All-Rounders: Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Pat Cummins
Andre Russell and Sunil Narine. These names instil fear in the minds of the opposition. These players do not require any introduction. There is no doubt about the fact that Russell is the greatest T20 cricketer in the present generation, while Narine is not far behind.
Andre Russell had a mammoth season last year, hitting sixes at will. He is also an extremely impactful death bowler, and he remains the most lethal player in the squad. Narine is expected to open along with Shubman Gill or Rahul Tripathi. He is also going to be KKR’s most crucial bowler. Their big buy Cummins can also be extremely effective lower down the order.
KKR doesn’t have any major Indian all-rounder, but they do not need them. Their Indian core of Nitish Rana, Gill, Dinesh Karthik, and the new pacers is considerably well-placed, and KKR could be in for a great season this time around in the IPL.

<h3>7. Rajasthan Royals- 7.5/10</h3>

All-Rounders: Ben Stokes, Shreyas Gopal, Tom Curran, Riyan Parag, Mahipal Lomror
The uncertainty regarding Ben Stokes’ availability this season remains a headache for the Royals. Tom Curran would have to fill in his shoes for the time being. Riyan Parag would also be under pressure to perform after starting well last season. 
Shreyas Gopal is the key Indian all-rounder for Rajasthan. His leg-spin and finishing abilities have been pretty good over the past couple of seasons. He has taken the wickets of big fish like Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. If he can improve his striking ability at the death overs, RR could be well placed.
Mahipal Lomror has done well at the U19 stage. It will be interesting to see how he performs when he gets a chance to play. Rajasthan seem to be quite reliant on their overseas players, and for them to succeed, Indian players other than Gopal, must also step up.

<h3>8. Sunrisers Hyderabad- 8.5/10</h3>

All-Rounders: Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Mitchell Marsh, Vijay Shankar, Fabian Allen, Abhishek Sharma
SRH have two quality Afghanistan spin bowling all-rounders in Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. The latter has taken 55 wickets in the three IPL seasons he has played. Besides that, he has also been highly impactful with the bat.
Nabi had a very good season at the Caribbean Premier League, where the pitches are similar to that in the UAE. He can solve SRH’s finishing woes, and give them four guaranteed overs every game of the IPL.
SRH doesn’t have very impressive Indian all-rounders. Abhishek Sharma has played well in the domestic circuit but is yet to prove himself in the Indian Premier League. Vijay Shankar also needs to step up to strengthen SRH’s middle order.
