IPL 2020: Salman Khan's old tweet goes viral after KXIP pulled off an absolute thriller against RCB
KXIP won an absolute thriller against RCB on the last ball of the game by eight wickets.
The 31st match of the Indian Premier League between Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore came out as another nail-biting contest. KXIP finally returned to their winning ways after facing an absolute thriller against RCB. What seemed like an easy chase for Punjab during the middle overs went on till the very last ball of the innings as KL Rahul, and his men won the contest by eight wickets.
The Universe Boss Chris Gayle came to join his team and got all the luck along as he smashed 53 off 44 in his first match of IPL 2020. Chasing the target of 172, KXIP batters came up with intentions to steal those two valuable points. The extraordinary openers, Mayank Agarwal (45 off 25) and KL Rahul (61 off 49) laid the strong foundation. Rahul was named as the player of the match as he pushed his team towards a stylish and much-needed victory.
Seven runs were needed in the last two overs, and the entire order was ready to come up on the field. It looked like a cakewalk for Punjab, but they screwed things well enough in those two overs that the game had to stretch till the very last ball. Yuzvendra Chahal was the man with the ball in the final over, and he showed his tactics yet again to stop Punjab somehow, but it was KXIP’s day anyway.
Nicholas Pooran hit the winning six for KXIP
When the fans were looking up for another Super Over of IPL 2020, Nicholas Pooran showed extraordinary courage to hit the last ball for a thunderous six. After the match, an old tweet by Bollywood actor Salman Khan went viral. The curious tweet by the actor resurfaced as it matched with the situation of the game. The tweet read, “Zinta’s team won kya?”
He questioned it when KXIP played finals against KKR back in 2014. Since Twitter never forgets, the tweet has been doing rounds, and fans have come with the best reactions on the same post. Not to forget, KXIP have won only two matches in this tournament, and both came against RCB.
