4. Pawan Negi (Royal Challengers Bangalore)
Pawan Negi is a left-handed spin-bowling all-rounder from Delhi. He has been around in the league since 2012 and has represented Delhi, Chennai and Bangalore. He has taken 34 wickets and scored 365 runs in 50 matches across 8 years. He is also an excellent fielder and RCB used RTM for him in the 2018 mega auction.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have not included him in their Playing XI for a single match. With Washington Sundar doing well, and Shahbaz Ahmed waiting in the reserves, it is highly unlikely that he will get a game for the Challengers.
However, he could prove to be a crucial player in the latter half of the tournament, when the pitches are expected to be spin-friendly. Teams like KKR and MI should try to look for a player like him. He can prove to be an effective back-up for Krunal Pandya, who hasn’t been in the best of form. Kuldeep Yadav’s lack of form makes Negi a good replacement for him as well.
