IPL 2020: Twitter bashes Virender Sehwag for his 'Glucose chadwaake aana padega' tweet on CSK batsmen
CSK's approach in the run-chase is being questioned after their loss against Delhi Capitals.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and their intent in the chase is the talk of the town at the moment in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). After defending their approach in the 217-run chase against the Royals, CSK had no answers on Friday when they couldn’t gun down 176 against the Delhi Capitals (DC). Rather they lost the game by 44 runs eventually worsening their net run-rate.
The top-order, apart from Faf du Plessis, is misfiring while even Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav have disappointed in the middle-order. MS Dhoni not batting up the order is another concern for the experts. The way the CSK approached the 176-run chase against DC left many baffled as there was hardly any shot played in anger when the runs were hard to come by.
Instead, they kept taking singles and left too many runs to get in the end. While a lot of experts criticised them, former India cricketer Virender Sehwag came up with a tweet taking a dig at the CSK batsmen. He wrote that the Men in Yellow should have glucose and come out to bat to play some shots. “Chennai ke batsman simply not getting going. Glucose chadwaake aana padega next match se batting karne,” he wrote in his tweet.

Fans not pleased with Virender Sehwag for his tweet:
However, the fans are not at all pleased with Sehwag for his tweet. They have responded to him in replies taking a hilarious dig at his footwork. Some of them are also confident that CSK will make a strong comeback and manage to win the season.
The MS Dhoni-led side will now enjoy a six-day break which will give them time to reflect upon themselves with their next match to be played on October 2 against the SRH. Their top players, Dwayne Bravo and Ambati Rayudu, are also expected to be fit for the game. Even Imran Tahir might make his comeback given the way Piyush Chawla has performed so far in the three matches.
Meanwhile, Sehwag was at the receiving end of all the wrath of the fans who are already disappointed with their favourite team’s performance.
