Virat Kohli is undoubtedly regarded as one of the fittest cricketers in international cricket. Since breaking into the national side as an impulsive chubby youngster, the current India skipper has remarkably worked on his fitness levels.

31-year-old Kohli is known for his agility on the field. Using his lean physique into play, Kohli has taken many stunning catches on multiple occasions. He had even shared his workout clips when the entire cricket scenario was at a halt due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Kohli, who is currently training in the UAE before the commencement of IPL 2020, pulled off AB de Villiers’ legendary ‘Superman’ catch. In one of the training sessions of Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kohli jumped in the air and plucked the ball, just like de Villiers did in 2018 edition of the IPL.

Kohli’s enthralling catch was also shared by the franchise on their official Twitter handle. “Captain Kohli casually recreating AB’s ‘Superman’ catch in training last evening. #PlayBold #IPL2020 #WeAreChallengers #Dream11IPL,” read the caption on the tweet by RCB.

AB de Villiers had pulled off his ‘Superman’ catch in an encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018. While fielding close to the deep mid-wicket boundary ropes at Chinnaswamy, ‘Mr 360’ stunned the crowd as he caught the ball which was capable enough of clearing the boundary with ease. De Villiers leapt in the air and snatched a one-handed stunner to make his presence felt in the match.

Both Virat and de Villiers share a great camaderie and they’ve been two vital pillars of RCB’s IPL voyage. The Bangalore franchise will aim to lift their maiden IPL trophy in IPL 2020, set to be held in the UAE from September 19.

RCB are yet to lift the trophy over 12 editions of the league, despite reaching the final on 3 occasions. To flag off their IPL 2020 campaign, RCB will lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad on 21st September at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. With new additions like Aaron Finch, Adam Zampa and Chris Morris, RCB will be hoping to script an impressive run in this year’s IPL.
