IPL 2021: 3 players you should avoid in your fantasy teams for Punjab Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders’ batting has not really looked at par with the other teams so far in the tournament. They will now be traveling to Ahmedabad to play against Punjab Kings, who are coming into this match after a win. Having said that, both the teams have some absolute stars in their mix.

This allows fans to get a few fantasy points. But, sometimes, the strategies of the teams can help you to get better results in the fantasy game.

Andre Russell

With the amount of value Andre Russell brings to the side, it might be a little surprising that there is a suggestion to avoid him in your fantasy team. But, it has more to do with how he has been used by the Kolkata Knight Riders team. He bats at no. 7, which seems a little low for a batsman of his caliber. When it comes to his bowling, he has been only used in the death overs. With Shivam Mavi back in the team, Morgan might not even go for Russell for those overs.

Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine was a fantastic player for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the past. But, his form has dropped to a large extent. He is still a good player but for different purposes. With the ball, he used to be a strike bowler but lately he has been used to mainly put pressure on the batsman but has not got wickets. With the bat, he has been used in the middle order so far, which doesn’t seem like the best option for the Kolkata side. 

Shahrukh Khan

Shahrukh Khan has shown us that he is a capable batsman so far in the IPL. But, the way his batting is shaped in this tournament, it doesn’t seem that he will get a big score any time soon. He is a pretty valuable player for a quickfire cameo and he has even been seen doing that. However, despite those performances, he doesn’t earn a lot of fantasy points. Also, he doesn’t bowl so it is better to go for someone who can play a cameo but also get a couple of wickets.
