No. 1 ranked T20I bowler <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2021-rajasthan-royals-sign-tabraiz-shamsi-for-the-uae-leg/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Tabraiz Shamsi </a>has been signed by Rajasthan Royals for the remainder of the IPL. He has been included as the replacement of Australia&#8217;s Andrew Tye in the Royals&#8217; squad. Shamsi will join the fellow South Africa players Chris Morris, David Miller and Gerald Coetzee in the team.
Shamsi has previously featured in the Indian Premier League when he played four matches for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and picked up three wickets in the 2016 edition of the tournament. The Rajasthan Royals are currently placed in the sixth position of the points table. Out of the seven games that they have played in the first half of the IPL, the team has secured victory in three matches.
The South African left-arm spinner might be a great asset to the team with the plethora of variations he has under his sleeves. He also has a good googly that the batters have found difficult to read. Shamsi can be an important cog in the Royals’ wheels. He can be a great boost for the comparatively inexperienced bowling line-up of the team.

Rajasthan Royals have signed the New Zealand keeper-batsman <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/ipl-2021-rajasthan-royals-rope-in-glenn-phillips-as-jos-buttlers-replacement/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Glenn Phillips</a> for the second leg of the IPL 2021. Phillips has good form by his side as he comes from an impressive stint at The Hundred. The right-handed batter had featured for the Welsh Fire in the tournament and chipped in 214 runs for the team.
He is currently featuring in the CPL for the Barbados Royals. As the New Zealander would enter the IPL having played a considerable amount of games in the shorter format, Rajasthan Royals will pin a lot of hopes on him to stand out for the side in the tournament. Rajasthan Royals’ batting line-up has quite a bit of holes and Phillips might play a substantial role there.
His presence in the side can allow the team to solve their top-order woes in the absence of Jos Buttler. With his good form in recent times, he can prove as a game-changer for Rajasthan Royals. In the 25 T20I matches, he has scored 506 runs.

David became the first player from Singapore to make it to the Indian Premier League.
