Chris Morris became the most expensive signing in the history of IPL when he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for Rs.16.25 crore. Given the price and his performance last season, expectations were sky high and it wouldn’t be wrong to say that he has been able to meet them to a certain extent.

In the absence of Jofra Archer, he has had to lead the bowling attack and he has certainly done his bit having picked up a staggering 38% of RR’s wickets. He’s also chipped in with the bat and won 2 points for his team against the Delhi Capitals with an excellent 36* from 18 deliveries under pressure.

In 7 games, he has picked up 14 wickets at a strike rate of 11.14 while maintaining an economy rate of 8.61. The South African also scored 48 runs at a strike rate of over 150 and he was one of the best performers in the league.
