IPL 2021: Bromance between Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni in CSK vs RCB match takes the internet by storm

The camaraderie and ‘brotherhood’ that Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni share between them is something that goes beyond the cricket field. Both these cricketing behemoths have immense respect for each other.

Even before the toss in the encounter between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) that was delayed due to a sandstorm, Kohli, and Dhoni were seen having a long and cheerful chat with each other.

And that is not all. Even after the match, Kohli was seen going to Dhoni and giving the CSK skipper a hug, and the netizens are going wild regarding the same.

Chennai Super Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets

As far as the match is concerned, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) side comfortably beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) outfit with 6 wickets and 11 balls to spare on 24th September 2021.

The Bangalore side batted first and posted a total of 156/6 on the board. For Bangalore, Devdutt Padikkal and batting legend Virat Kohli were the main contributors with the willow in hand.

While Padikkal scored a 50-ball 70, Kohli helped himself to a classic 53 at a strike rate of 129.26. Dwayne Bravo scalped 3 wickets for the CSK outfit with the ball.

In reply, the CSK side coasted past the target with ease. The CSK openers, Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad put on a superb 71-run stand for the opening wicket, after which the likes of Moeen Ali (23) and Ambati Rayudu (32) chipped in with useful contributions.

The experienced duo of Suresh Raina and MS Dhoni then finished things off for the ‘Men in Yellow’. While Raina scored an unbeaten 17 at a strike rate of 170, skipper MS Dhoni scored 11*. The CSK side is occupying the top spot in the IPL points table and has now won 7 out of the 9 matches that it has played in the tournament. On the other hand, the RCB side is placed at the 3rd spot.

CSK will next take on the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side on 26th September 2021, while the RCB outfit will lock horns with the Mumbai Indians (MI) outfit on the same day.
