Faf du Plessis continued the game with a bleeding knee
It was only a few moments before when the capable Protean left a catch on the field which was quite tricky to complete. However, not this time around as he was adamant to get success for CSK. Talking about the game, KKR chose to bat first and put a fighting total on the board by pasting 171 runs in 20 overs. He further grabbed appreciation for fielding with a bleeding knee.
Rahul Tripathi missed his close half fifty (45 off 33). Nitish Rana later walked up to add crucial 37 runs on the board from his end. Andre Russell’s 20 and Dinesh Karthik’s 26 off 11 at the end were vital for the team to reach the 171-run mark.
Josh Hazlewood and Shardul Thakur picked two wickets each for CSK but the latter remained extremely economical by conceding just 20 runs in four overs. If CSK takes this game, they will be sure of qualifying for the playoffs stage, making a habit once again.
