A mere look at today’s Twitter trend might make many fans confused as thousands of fans have made #DhoniReturns one of the top hashtags on the social media platform. At a time when Dhoni is nowhere close to returning to competitive cricket, the trend can surely leave many confused. The trend might also make some fans think the highly unlikely possibility of Dhoni making u-turn on his international retirement.
More than 34,000 tweets have been made with the hashtag #DhoniReturns. Well, the reason behind the trend is not a very big or special one. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans started the trend after it was confirmed that their beloved Thala and his teammates have started training in Chennai for the upcoming season of IPL.
MS Dhoni fan clubs urged their followers to retweet using the #DhoniReturns hashtag and in no time it became one of the leading trends as the fans celebrated the CSK skipper’s return to nets. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, the sessions began on Tuesday after all the players and staff cleared their RT-PCR rests during the stipulated quarantine period. Apart from Dhoni, the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ambati Rayudu, N Jagadeesan, R Sai Kishore, C Hari Nishaanth, and Harishankar Reddy, were all present at the training.
“The CSK players completed their quarantine requirements and began practice yesterday. Gradually, the others will join the camp after a period of quarantine. A few others like leg-spinner Karn Sharma and Bhagath Varma, who was picked during the auctions recently are expected to arrive in the coming days,” CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan confirmed.

Chances of CSK shifting the camp for IPL 2021 season
Kasi Viswanathan has confirmed there is a chance CSK might shift base for their training in the coming days. The reason behind shifting the base is that CSK will not play any game in Chennai this season. CSK will play their first five games in Mumbai before heading to Delhi for their next four league games. Their next three games will take place in Bangalore before two games in Kolkata will bring an end to their league campaign.
“Yes, certainly we will think about the possibility of shifting our camp but a decision will be taken in a week’s time. As of now, we are starting our camp in Chennai from tomorrow with the players who are available,” he told InsideSport.
