Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals have locked horns with each other for the Match 32 of the Indian Premier League. After having won the toss, KL Rahul decided to bowl first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The Rajasthan Royals however got to a splendid start as Evin Lewis and Yashasvi Jaiswal took the mantle to provide the team with a steady start.

Arshdeep Singh then struck to provide Punjab Kings with the first breakthrough as he sent Evin Lewis (36) back to the hut and skipper Sanju Samson walked into the field. It slightly brought the momentum towards Punjab Kings and Ishan Porel made the most of it, while KL Rahul assisted him well.

Ishan Porel entered the scene to bowl the eighth over of the match. He bowled a good length ball, slightly wide of off stump. Sanju Samson looked to hit the ball hard but got a top edge and the ball went to the keeper. Rahul made no mistake behind the wicket and completed the catch. The catch was comparatively a tough one but the Punjab Kings’ skipper managed to grab it with one hand to send back his counterpart. His stunning effort fetched him a lot of praises as the cricket on-lookers took it to Twitter to appreciate Rahul.

Here’s how Twitter reacted:

After Samson’s wicket, Rajasthan was reduced to 68-2. Ishan Porel made his IPL debut and garnered the audacity of the occasion by clinching a wicket off his first delivery. The RR skipper would have been lethal for the team and his wicket probably was a great sigh of relief for Punjab, who already conceded considerable runs in the powerplay.

Punjab Kings are currently placed at the seventh position of the points table. They secured victories in three matches from the eight matches they played in the Indian leg of the IPL. Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, find themselves on the sixth spot of the points table. In the first half of the league, the team managed to win three matches from seven they played.
