IPL 2021: Manvinder Bisla predicts DC to win against RR
RR won the toss and opted to field.
The seventh match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Delhi Capitals (DC) is currently in progress at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Winning the toss, the Royals skipper Sanju Samson opted to field first, which has been the case quite often with teams despite a couple of totals being defended so far.
On a Head-to-Head count in the history of IPL of these two sides, both Rajasthan and Delhi stand at an event footing, with 11 wins each against each other. However, former KKR cricketer and the CricTracker expert Manvinder Bisla reckons that the Rishabh Pant-led side will be able to take an edge over Sanju Samson and his men in this encounter and register their second consecutive win of the season.
Speaking at CricTracker’s live show ‘In The Air’, Bisla reckoned that DC has a brilliant leader in Rishabh Pant and the team has improved from the previous seasons this time around with a balanced unit. On being asked to predict the winner in the pre-match show, Bisla said, “I would like to go with Delhi as the team is looking complete.” He mentioned that young players such as Prithvi Shaw and Rishabh Pant can be destructive in the format, and have performed well in the IPL.
“I would like to go with Delhi as Kagiso Rabada returns to the team as well. It can be a big factor that can affect the team’s game”, said Bisla.
RR, DC make some changes
Ahead of the seventh league game, both the teams made changes in their squad. Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson informed that David Miller replaced their all-rounder Ben Stokes, who has been ruled out of the tournament after he picked an injury in the tournament opener while taking a catch. Rajasthan also included pacer Jayadev Unadkat at the expense of Shreyas Gopal.
On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals made a couple of changes in their eleven too. Kagiso Rabada came in for Shimron Hetmyer, whereas Lalit Yadav replaced the leg-spinner, Amit Mishra.
