The 19th match of the Indian Premier League 2021 will see the clash of two table toppers of the season so far. The yellow army of Chennai Super Kings will be up against the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore for the ultimate action. While RCB have been undefeated so far, CSK are also walking up in good rhythm by losing just one match against Delhi Capitals.
As the three-time champion will be up against Kohli and company, they would be keen on turning tables in their favour. CSK played their last game against KKR and it turned out to be a roller coaster ride. Despite putting a massive target on the board, some hard-hitting by Pat Cummins and Andre Russell shook the yellow army for a moment. However, all their departments look in good touch, and not a major change will be expected in the squad against RCB.
CSK Predicted Playing XI against RCB- match 19
Openers (Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad)
The opening pair of CSK turned up in the top-notch form in their last match against KKR. While Du Plessis fell just five runs short of his century, Gaikwad took bowlers to cleaners by smashing 64 runs off 42 deliveries. CSK exactly needs this type of start from their openers and will expect the duo to replicate their actions against RCB.
Middle Order (Ambati Rayudu, Suresh Raina, and MS Dhoni)
Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina didn’t get to bat in CSK’s last game but the pair is considered to be the backbone of their middle order. Raina has been doing the task for the yellow team for a long now and along with Rayudu’s experience, the team would only expect them to solidify their run-scoring mechanism.
Though the legendary skipper MS Dhoni hasn’t been able to score too big, the fact that he is opening arms and bringing few boundaries makes the fans uber happy. In the last game too, Dhoni smashed a six and two fours to add his little but vital contribution to the team. He will be expected to lead the team in the next game by his genius cricketing mind.
All-rounders (Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali, and Sam Curran)
Jadeja got to face only one ball in the last game but he made sure to send that one delivery out of the park straight away. The man who can contribute equally in all the departments of the game and can show extraordinary athleticism on the field will be definitely be expected to show up with CSK in the next game.
Moeen Ali has been starring well for CSK so far and his cameo of 25 runs off 12 balls in the last game pushed CSK further up. Though Curran survived an ugly over in the last game where he conceded 30 runs to Cummins, the team can still trust him to produce better results both in both the departments of the game.
Bowlers (Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, and Lungi Ngidi)
If there is one bowler who is known for bringing just magic in the powerplay, it has to be Deepak Chahar. The man has been shining too well for the CSK with the new ball and picked four wickets in the last game too. The pacer will be expected to maintain his consistency throughout.
Though Thakur remained quite costly for the CSK in the last game, the talented player can pick up rhythm anytime. Lungi Ngidi played his first game for the yellow army in IPL 2021 against KKR and made sure to make a mark by sending three batsmen back. It is expected that CSK would go with the same bowling combination in their clash against RCB.
