IPL 2021, Match 27: MI vs CSK, Stats Preview: Player records and approaching milestones
Two sixes are required for Ravindra Jadeja to reach 50 IPL sixes for Chennai Super Kings.
The IPL’s biggest rivals will knock horns on Saturday night at Delhi. While CSK have a much-improved season with 5 wins and 2 losses so far, the defending champions are at a slightly shaky position at 3-3 in wins and losses. Both the teams chased 172 in 18.3 overs in their last game, losing three wickets – which might be an interesting time to revive the rivalry again. It will also be a clash of the Chahar brothers at their peak, with Deepak being Chennai’s leading wicket-taker and Rahul being Mumbai’s leading wicket-taker of this season so far.
CSK’s openers Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad are in supreme form, while Mumbai Indians have their skipper Rohit Sharma who scored the most runs for them, and Suryakumar Yadav who is batting more aggressively of late. With so many impactful players, the ‘El Classico of IPL’ promises to be a great contest.
Here’s a list of the numbers ahead of the CSK vs MI IPL clash
1 – Krunal Pandya needs 1 more wicket to reach 50 wickets for Mumbai Indians in IPL. He will become the second Mumbai Indians player to score 1000+ runs and take 50+ wickets for Mumbai Indians, after Kieron Pollard.

350 – Rohit Sharma will become the first Indian to play 350 T20 matches. Rohit’s 6 tons are the most by an Indian and his 9280 runs are the second-most by an Indian in the T20 format.
72 – If captain Rohit Sharma wins the match for Mumbai Indians, it will be his 72nd win as a captain in IPL. This will make him the second most successful captain in the IPL, overtaking Gautam Gambhir (71 wins). Only MS Dhoni won more matches as the captain in IPL (115 matches).
