Although his batting prowess has waned over the years, MS Dhoni still is the best tactician of the game. While many speculated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will have a tough time in the UAE considering their last year’s performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the team has so far won two convincing games against Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and have risen to the top of the rankings.
CSK skipper Dhoni has been spot on with his captaincy moves so far and has marshaled his bowlers well. As former India wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel says, the players trust Dhoni due to his vast amount of experience under his belt. With their latest win against RCB, CSK are back at the top spot. Currently, they have 14 points and are looking ominous as ever.
Suresh Raina hit the winning runs with his friend and brother Dhoni alongside the company. As soon as the duo were walking back to the dugout, one of the CSK support staff members saluted the skipper. In return, Dhoni obliged and gave the support staff the army like a salute. It is a well-documented fact that Dhoni is fond of the Indian army and time and again has showcased his love for the same.
Recently he was also named in the 15-member defense panel to review the young NCC cadets and interact with them. Currently, the 40-year-old only plays for CSK and has no other cricketing commitments to look forward to. So, MS Dhoni can devote his time to the Indian Army during his free time.

Chennai Super Kings look set to make it to the playoffs
With just one win to seal their playoffs hope, CSK are looking prim to yet again reach the playoff under their inspirational skipper Dhoni. In the 13 editions that have gone by, CSK have only not made the playoffs once. But this time they found their mojo back with players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, and Deepak Chahar chipping in with vital contributions.
The only concern for the team is the form of Faf du Plessis and Suresh Raina, who have not shown the consistency they would have hoped for.
