Australia’s decorated speedster Pat Cummins plied his trade for two-time champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) during the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Though the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) suspended the league for an indefinite time after hosting just 29 games, Cummins had a lot of fun during his stay his India.
On May 18, Tuesday, Cummins uploaded a vlog on his official YouTube handle where he can be seen having fun with his KKR teammates. One of the highlights of the entire blog was West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine giving a haircut to the speedster.
In the nine minutes and 24 seconds video, Cummins named Narine as team barber while saying that it isn’t easy to find a barber while living in a bio-bubble. “Hard to get a barber in the bubble, so the next best thing. The team barber – Sunil Narine,” the Australian pacer joked.
Though Narine was quite dedicated towards his job of cutting the hair properly, Pat Cummins couldn’t stop himself from giving instructions throughout as he could be heard saying, “short on the side, a bit of length on top” and “no hair color.”

Apart from the aforementioned event, the vlog uploaded by Pat Cummins includes other activities too which the pacer enjoyed with his KKR teammates. Cummins could be seen playing volleyball with other KKR players while he also gave a sneak-peek into Knight Riders’ cricket gear. Through his short video, the pacer also gave a glimpse of KKR’s training sessions.
The 28-year-old informed the fans about his vlog by making an announcement on his official Twitter handle. “We’re in Chennai for Vlog#2 of the 2021 IPL season. Unboxing of the 2021 @kkriders cricket gear, a volleyball game with the boys, and a haircut I didn’t end up regretting,” Cummins tweeted.
In the now-suspended 14th edition of the T20 Championship, Cummins performed decently as he was the highest wicket-taker for the franchise. In seven matches, the seamer picked nine wickets while bowling at an average of 26.33. However, KKR wasn’t experiencing an ideal outing as they were languishing at the second-last position after winning just two matches out of seven played.
