The entire cricket world is excited for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and David Warner is not an exception either. The Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper has expressed his excitement to start his campaign in IPL 2021. The Australian batting star is currently in quarantine in Chennai and will complete the mandatory period in a couple of days.
Following that, he would join his teammates to train ahead of SRH’s tournament-opener. IPL 2021 will get underway on April 9 with the game between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. SRH, on the other hand, will open their campaign on April 11 against Kolkata Knight Riders.
And ahead of SRH’s first game of the season, their skipper has made it clear that he is absolutely pumped up. Warner posted a video on Instagram to express his excitement after receiving his new playing kit for the season. Warner stated that he could not wait to wear the kit before expressing his excitement over joining his teammates in a couple of days. The southpaw also asked the fans to predict the winner of this year’s IPL.
“Hey everyone, I just received my playing kit and I could not wait to put it on. So I just took it out of the packet and put it straight on. Pumped to get out of here in a couple of days and join the guys in training ahead of our first game in Chennai. So, who do you reckon will win this year’s IPL?” said David Warner.

David Warner-led SRH will be strong contenders for this year’s IPL title. With the likes of Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Jason Roy, Kane Williamson, Bhuvneshwar Kumar in their ranks, the Hyderabad-based outfit is one of the strongest this season. Last year, they made it to the playoffs and would be looking to do even better this season. SRH have not won the IPL title since winning their first title in 2016.
