IPL 2021: Rahul Chahar gives a fiery send-off to KS Bharat after dismissing him
Bharat batted well on the day scoring 32 runs off 24 balls.
Bowlers always have to be on the tenterhooks in T20 cricket and come up with the variations with batsmen looking to dominate. The pressure can be immense at times and the bowler has to respond very quickly. And when the latter succeeds, he is always pumped up and if stakes are high, one can definitely expect a send-off to a batsman as well.
This is what happened during match 39 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI). Things were going well for RCB then and Rahul Chahar was at the receiving end in the 9th over. The leg-spinner had created a chance to dismiss Virat Kohli but Hardik Pandya dropped the catch.
KS Bharat then smacked him for a huge six off the very next to add insult to injury. But Chahar is a smart bowler and he once again bowled a loopy delivery to induce a big shot off the batsman. And Bharat did just that looking to go inside out. But he could only chipped the ball off the bottom half of the bat only for Suryakumar Yadav to pouch the catch at wide long-off.
What followed was a fiery send-off from Rahul Chahar who had won the battle. He was unlucky not to have Virat Kohli earlier in the over but nevertheless, he had broken the 2nd wicket partnership of 68 runs. Chahar was understandably pumped on the occasion.

Not a great day for Chahar
Though he got a wicket, Rahul Chahar couldn’t bowl his usual economical spell. Glenn Maxwell reverse-swept him a couple of times and the leg-spinners was a tad expensive on the day. He finished with the figures of 1/33 in his four overs and would’ve loved to perform better in a crucial game for his team.
Meanwhile, for RCB, Virat Kohli slammed a brilliant half-century scoring 51 runs off 42 balls. He also completed 10000 T20 runs in the process as well to become the fifth batter to accomplish the feat.
