IPL 2021: Rashid Khan, David Warner and Bhuvneshwar Kumar shake a leg to the song 'Vaathi Coming' from the film Master
On the business side of things, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side started their 2021 IPL campaign on a losing note.
The song ‘Vaathi Coming’ from the film Master has made the cricket world dance to its tunes. Earlier, Indian cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, and Kuldeep Yadav had shaken a leg for the song ‘Vaathi Coming’ from the film that has ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay playing the lead role. After that, Indian Women’s cricketer Veda Krishnamurthy had danced to the song.
And now, it looks like ‘Vaathi Coming’ has even made a few foreign cricketers shake a leg as well. In an Instagram reel that was recently posted by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) bowler Rashid Khan, the likes of David Warner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Rashid Khan were seen dancing to the song.
The three cricketers were seen imitating the famous step that Vijay did in the song, and they have pulled it off well. You can see them dancing to the song in the video below.
SRH start their 2021 IPL campaign on a losing note
On the business side of things, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side started their 2021 IPL campaign on a losing note. In their first match of IPL 2021 on 11th April 2021 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) side, the ‘Orange Army’ went down by 10 runs.
In a high-scoring encounter, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wielded the willow first and posted a massive total of 187/6 on the board. Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi scored half-centuries to power Kolkata to a huge total.
Even though the ‘Orange Army’ lost their first two wickets with just 10 runs on the board, Manish Pandey and Jonny Bairstow steadied the ship by putting on a 92-run partnership for the third wicket. But in the end, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side could only manage to score 177/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
The David Warner-led side has been one of the most consistent teams in the history of the IPL. In the 8 seasons that they have played the cash-rich T20 league, they have made it to the playoffs on 6 occasions, and have also emerged as the champions in the year 2016.
The Hyderabad side will play their second match of the 2021 IPL season against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side on 14th April 2021.
