IPL 2021: RCB camp to assemble in Bengaluru by August 21, to leave for UAE on August 29

The second leg of the Indian Premier League is all set to commence from September 19 in the UAE. Ahead of it, the Royal Challengers Bangalore team is all raring to resume their campaign on a positive note. The team has made certain changes on their side as they seem all prepped up to take on the challenge in the UAE.

The Indian players, support staff, and the team management of RCB are expected to regroup in Bangalore on 21st August. Post that, the team will undergo the mandatory seven days quarantine and will also undergo the Covid-19 tests for three days whilst that period. The team will then depart to UAE via chartered flight from Bangalore on 29th August.

The international players are expected to assemble in the UAE starting 29th August onwards. The players will undergo another six days of necessary quarantine in the UAE. Mike Hesson, the Director of Cricket Operations, Royal Challengers Bangalore spoke about the changes in the team and pinned his hopes on the team to continue the momentum from the first leg of the IPL.

“We have made some changes to the squad pertaining to the situation. We have come a long way and have shown steady progress as a team. The addition of Wanindu Hasaranga, Tim David, and Dushmantha Chameera couldn’t have come at a better time in the replacement window, as we aim to continue with the momentum, building on our performance from earlier this year,” he said as reported by RCB official.

RCB has had an impressive stint in the Indian leg of the IPL 2021. The team produced some splendid performances to display their domination in the tournament. Unlike every season, the team has got to a good start in the tournament and Kohli would be pumped up to make sure that the team continues its winning streak.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are all set to resume their campaign on September 20 when they will battle it out against KKR at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. RCB is currently placed in the third position of the points table with five victories from seven matches.

RCB’s Harshal Patel is the leading wicket-taker of the tournament so far with a total of 17 wickets under his sleeves. His spells and performances have helped the team to tick a massive box of death bowling that RCB had previously struggled with.
