The Royal Challengers Bangalore team is yet to win an IPL trophy despite having a strong squad over the years. They have played an IPL final three times, but have failed to cross the last hurdle. In IPL 2020, RCB qualified for the playoffs after a gap of 4 years and lost to SRH in the eliminator.

He will have a chance to become the fastest Indian to 1000 IPL runs, for which he needs to score 527 runs in the next 15 innings. Currently, the record is held by Sachin Tendulkar who completed his 1000 IPL runs in 31 innings.
