On Sunday, April 25, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) were dealt with a massive blow as it was learned that the Australian pacer Kane Richardson along with the spinner Adam Zampa has pulled out their names from the ongoing 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The two left RCB’s bio bubble in Mumbai citing personal reasons and shifted to another hotel near the airport to travel back to Australia.
In the latest development, the Bangalore outfit named Scott Kuggeleijn as the replacement for Kane Richardson. Notably, Scott was present with Mumbai Indians in their bio-bubble as a reserve bowler. However, the Kiwi pacer will now be joining the RCB camp in Ahmedabad.
This also makes Scott the first player to get transferred in the IPL 2021 mid-season transfer window. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) opened the doors for mid-season transfer at 9 pm on April 26 and it will end on May 23. Meanwhile, there is no update on the replacement of the spinner Adam Zampa.
