The playoffs teams have already been decided for the IPL 2021 whereas the T20 WC 2021 is already approaching real soon with all the entertainment and enthusiasm. In the same sequence, Bangladesh were all set to leave for Abu Dhabi on October 09 but a sudden change in plans have pushed them to depart for the Gulf nation on October 10.
Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who is part of the KKR squad will also join the Bangladesh squad on Sunday alongside Rajasthan’s Mustafizur Rahman. As KKR have already reached the playoffs stage and will play the first eliminator against RCB on October 11, Shakib will miss the all-important game with his franchise as per the reports by Cricfrenzy.
Bangladesh would not be able to have a practice session before their first warm-up game against Sri Lanka on October 12. It has happened due to rescheduling and players will have to serve a mandatory one-day in-room quarantine on October 11. Bangladesh would be up against Ireland in their second warm-up game on October 15 and Shakib is an integral member of the Bangladesh setup.
Shakib Al Hasan didn’t get too many games with KKR in IPL 2021
Talking about the all-rounder’s stint in the IPL, he didn’t get to play many games due to team combination and several other factors. In five games, he scalped four wickets and scored a total of 38 runs at an average nearing 13. However, his IPL team KKR displayed a great performance in the second leg of IPL in the UAE.
After having an average run in the Indian leg, KKR went on to win five out of their seven games. However, it will be a thing to see how they would play against RCB in the first eliminator. If KKR wins the game against RCB, they will play against the losing team between DC and CSK.
Bangladesh will return to Oman on October 15 and will play their first World Cup match against Scotland on October 17. Mustafizur Rahman of Rajasthan Royals will also be an integral part of the Bangladesh setup in their T20 WC show in Oman and the UAE.
