The second leg of the IPL is all set to begin in the UAE from September 19. Ahead of the tournament, Chennai Super Kings’ star batter Suresh Raina is seen getting all geared up for the challenge. Raina is leaving no stone unturned to work on his fitness and is prepping to be able to perform the best he can in the marquee event.
Raina recently posted a video on his Instagram account wherein the cricketer is seen putting all the hard yards for the training and fitness. The southpaw is spotted undertaking a steady running drill. Post the intense run, Raina seems to be relaxed taking a stroll which was then followed by a bit of stretching. Raina has captioned the post as: “Perfect day for an outdoor run, followed by stretching #nature #running #reels #believe.”
Even prior to this the cricketer is been frequently posting about his fitness regimes. Raina took to his Instagram account a few days back to share an image of his where he is spotted doing Yoga. Along with high-intensity training, meditating and relaxing oneself also stands important for the players. Raina thus captioned the post as: “Starting your day right is the key & meditation brings you peace & positive energies around! #wednesdaywisdom”

Suresh Raina raring for the remainder of the IPL
CSK has had a good start to its campaign in the first leg of the IPL which was held in India. They are currently placed in the second position of the points table and would be keen to take the momentum further as the tournament resumes. Suresh Raina has always been an important cog in the wheel of the CSK team and thus his contributions will be pivotal for the side.
In the first match of the second leg, CSK is all set to face their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians. in the last encounter between these teams, Kieron Pollard had played a stunner of an innings to sail Mumbai Indians to victory. The CSK team is expected to leave for the tournament on August 13.
“The date of the departure has not been finalized yet but we are planning to send the team by 13th or 14th of August. CSK will be flying to Dubai and will start our training from there,” CEO Kasi Vishwanathan told InsideSport
