The Royal Challengers Bangalore have been one of the most popular teams in IPL. The Bangalore-based franchise has an incredibly loyal fan-base that backs them irrespective of how they perform. The Royal Challengers had a decent IPL 2020 campaign, where they finished fourth.

Looking at their performance in the first half of IPL 2020, many believed the Royal Challengers Bangalore would end their title drought. However, the same did not happen. Bangalore lost momentum in the final phase of the competition. The Sunrisers Hyderabad ended their campaign in the playoffs.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore surprisingly released most of their players before IPL 2021. They have a very different squad this year compared to 2020. There were many questionable decisions the team management took at IPL Auction 2021. Here’s a look at the complete SWOT Analysis of the RCB squad for IPL 2021.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore have assembled one of the most dangerous batting lineups in IPL history for the 2021 season. The Bangalore-based franchise already had Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Joshua Philippe in their squad. They have now added some blockbuster names to their team.

Glenn Maxwell has joined the Royal Challengers for IPL 2021, while uncapped star Mohammed Azharuddeen also bagged a contract from the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Former RCB star Sachin Baby has returned to the franchise. Big Bash League star Daniel Christian has also returned to the Royal Challengers side.

The other names who can contribute with the bat for RCB are Daniel Sams, Harshal Patel,  and Washington Sundar. All three all-rounders have played match-winning knocks at the domestic level. Thus, it goes without saying that the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s biggest strength is their batting department.
