The battle between the bat and ball was intense during the match between RCB and MI in the ongoing IPL 2021 in Dubai on Sunday evening. With it being a crucial encounter for both the sides, the players were up for the battle and tempers flared in the process. It was Rahul Chahar who first gave a fiery send-off to KS Bharat and then Yuzvendra Chahal was in Ishan Kishan’s ears after dismissing him in the crunch situation.

It was the 11th over of the run-chase when RCB were just building the pressure on the opposition batters. Chahal was in the middle of an excellent spell and was confident as well having dismissed Quinton de Kock earlier. Coming back to the 11th over, the leg-spinner delivered a wrong ‘un to which Kishan came down the track and heaved across the line.

However, the left-hander could only top edge the ball to the backward point fielder Harshal Patel who took an easy catch. After the dismissal, Chahal was quick to say something to Kishan who didn’t respond and just walked back to the dugout. Something might have happened between the duo at some point during the match and it seemed that Chahal just gave it back to the batsman after getting the better of him.

Here’s the video:

Poor IPL 2021 for Ishan Kishan

It hasn’t been a great IPL season for Ishan Kishan. He hasn’t been himself and looks lost at times with the bat in the middle. The southpaw has scored a tad over 100 runs in eight innings this season so far and with the T20 World Cup to be played soon after the tournament, team India will be more worried for the youngster.

Kishan made a scintillating start to his international career though against England smashing a half-century while opening the innings. He continued his good job in the ODIs as well faring decently on Sri Lanka tour. His show with the bat led him to getting picked in the World Cup squad with the chief selector Chetan Sharma calling him a ‘floater’ in the line-up and also tipping him to be the back-up opener.
