Romario Shephard has been one of the names to have risen through the ranks of the West Indian domestic cricket in the last few months. With his ability to clear the fence quite easily and an uncanny accuracy bowling the yorkers have made him one of the most sought-after names in T20 cricket.

Predominantly a T20 player, Shepherd’s numbers are quite impressive. He has picked 53 wickets at an average of 21.18 and an economy rate of 8.18. He turned up for the West Indies in their recent T20I series against England and India. The hard-hitting all-rounder was part of the outfit for the series against Ireland and Pakistan as well.

The all-rounder started a huge bidding war among various teams. With a base price set at INR 75 Lakhs, MI, LSG, CSK, and RR bid intensely for the pacer all-rounder, but it was the Sunrisers Hyderabad who ended up winning the duel, buying Shepherd for INR 7.75 Crore.
