3. Bringing Ankit Rajpoot in place of Mohsin Khan
The Uttar Pradesh left-arm seamer Mohsin Khan was a surprise pick in the playing XI of the LSG team in their debut match. He was picked by the franchise for his base price of INR 20 lakhs in the 2022 mega auction. He was given an opportunity to bowl. In his two overs, he gave away 18 runs without picking up a wicket.
Mohsin’s fellow UP teammate and experienced pacer, Ankit Rajpoot warmed the bench in the first fixture. Rajpoot has played 29 IPL matches and picked up 24 wickets. His best performances came in the 2018 edition, where he picked up 11 wickets in eight matches for the Punjab Kings.
In the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021/22, Rajpoot was impressive with 10 wickets in four appearances and was one of the key reasons to take the team to the quarter-finals. If given an opportunity, he will certainly bring his experience to the side and help them get off the mark this season.
