The Indian Premier League, the biggest tournament in the cricketing world is set to get even more bigger with the addition of two new teams. The teams to participate freshly in this 15th edition of IPL are Lucknow owned by RPSG groups and Ahmedabad owned by CVC Capitals.

As per the retention rules, the IPL governing council has asked the franchises to name the retained ahead of the mega auction, which is to be held in December or January. The new teams have the advantage of naming three players before the auction starts and they would look to utilize this to their fullest.

The two teams would first look to sign a player who could lead their side and then they would fill in the slots one by one. The salary purse of 33 crores is allotted to the two teams and they could pick two Indians and an overseas player. The Ahmedabad team might seek these players on the list for the drafts.

One of the most loved cricketers in India, David Warner will be all set to don new colours for the 15th edition of the IPL. The dazzling opener and a flexible leader who had bought the glory to the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise was left behind from the captaincy and from the playing eleven in the recently finished IPL.

The rift between the player and the franchise became well known to the outside world. He has immense experience in captaining the franchise teams and his batting stats are exceptional. His domination in the IPL is exorbitant, as it is evident from his three Orange Caps (highest ever).

The southpaw grooms the youngsters really well and is capable of bringing out the best of a player. He brings the team his experience along with his huge Indian fanbase. His records as a batter and a skipper won’t leave him to enter into the auction pool itself as he will be drafted by the teams before.
