2. David Willey
David Willey’s IPL career hasn’t been really promising so far. RCB added him to the squad for his base price of INR 2 crores. He got a chance to play for RCB in initial matches as Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell was not available. Willey also batted at number four in the line-up. Batting in two innings of the four matches he played, the southpaw managed to score only 18 runs.
Moreover, Willey claimed only one wicket to his name in four apperances. After the inclusion of Maxwell in the squad and playing XI as well, Willey was benched by the team management for further matches.
As only four foreign players in a playing XI in IPL, it would be hard for RCB to adjust him in their existing combination which may result in Willey’s release from RCB ahead of the next season in 2023.
