IPL 2022: 4 players who took a pay cut in their salary from last season
Some big names in the list.
2. Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell was in red hot form last season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, scoring 513 runs at an average of 42.15 with six 50 plus scores. He was the find for RCB last season as he provided them the balance in the middle order as well as in the bowling department. He is one of the best T20 batters in the world currently who can play 360° throughout the field.
The big show was picked in the auction for Rs. 14.25 crores last season, but now has been retained second by the RCB franchise for a price of Rs 11 crores. He’s always had a big price tag behind his name during the auctions every year. He had a poor IPL season for Punjab in the 2020 season scoring just 108 runs without a six to this power-hitting monster.
But things turned around for him when he was picked by the RCB. He had a terrific season with the bat and was also more than handy with the new ball in the powerplay. There is a huge expectation from him in the upcoming seasons. Maxwell would be the future for the team along with Virat as their star AB De Villiers retired recently.
