Andrew Tye is one of the underrated T20 bowlers who can have a big impact on any franchise and he had a brilliant IPL season in 2018 for the Punjab Kings where he bagged the purple cap as well. The 35-year-old has added a little bit of pace to his armoury and his slower ones have been really difficult to hit for boundaries.

Tye is one of the death overs specialists having the ability to bowl toe crushing yorkers but he hasn’t been able to play a lot of IPL games in the last two seasons which has affected his IPL contract this time. The Australian seamer has 40 wickets in 27 IPL games at an average of 21.8 so far.

Tye had an outstanding BBL season recently where he ended as the third-highest wicket-taker with 25 wickets in 16 games at an average of 16.96. He was with the Rajasthan Royals in the previous IPL edition and will definitely be looked in as a replacement for the upcoming edition of IPL.
