Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson’s abilities are widely known in the cricketing world. He has a reputation for turning the tables of a match single-handedly. However, he is having ups and downs in the tournament so far.

In the match against Rajasthan Royals, Williamson faced a contentious decision. He was controversially given out by the third umpire in the second over of the innings after being caught by Devdutt Padikkal at slip. The decision was hard to make from the naked eye as the on-field umpire went upstairs. While there was no question about Williamson edging the ball, the catch didn’t look clean to many as it seemed the ball has landed on the turf before Padikkal grabbed it.

This decision from the third umpire had the whole of Twitter in disbelief and sparked many controversies. Williamson’s wicket proved to be crucial for the Rajasthan Royals as they went on to win the match.
