4. Nitish Rana (INR 8 cr)
Bought back at the IPL 2022 mega auction by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) earlier this year, the talented left-hander was perhaps overvalued with a price tag of INR 8 crore. This season has definitely not started on the right note, with Nitish Rana failing to cross 30 in any of his five innings, averaging just 13.8 with a strike rate of 135.29.
While KKR have continued to back Rana, time might be running out for him with more than able replacements waiting in the wings. A fully firing Rana, capable of holding one end up as well as turning it on, is exactly the kick an already strong batting line-up needs to go to the next level.
As an India hopeful knocking on the door for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia with already a lot of competition for middle order places, the middle-order batter from Delhi would be hoping to turn his fortunes around and be in the good books of the selectors.
