Another former India U19 star Shivam Mavi has always been a part of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He was once again bought back by his only franchise in an impressive bidding war at the IPL 2022 mega auction earlier this year. Considered to be one of India’s future pace sensations, Mavi can be an asset for any team and has age on his side.

The 23-year-old fast bowler has just played two out of the five games the Kolkata franchise have played and has just picked up one wicket while going at 12.33 runs an over. The highly-rated youngster has failed to justify the hefty price tag so far in the 15th edition of the tournament.

However, Shivam Mavi still has plently of time, and more than enough skill to make a comeback, but would also need a run of games to establish himself in KKR’s bowling line-up that already possesses a lot of quality. Overall, he has picked up 26 wickets in 28 matches for KKR at an economy of 8.56 runs per over.
