1. Deepak Chahar

Chahar, who was the second most expensive purchase in the IPL 2022 auction, had suffered the most significant injury coming into the 2022 season. It was previously thought that the pacer would be missing the entire season 15. But Deepak’s choice not to have surgery for his right quadriceps injury had given him hope of returning in April. However, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star pacer was officially ruled out of the ongoing season of IPL 2022 due to a back injury.

In February, the bowling all-rounder, Deepak Chahar injured his quadriceps in the third T20I against the West Indies. Chahar was subsequently ruled out of the first half of the season after being bought back for a massive INR 14 crore at the IPL Mega Auction that same month.

However, Chahar, who was undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru, sustained a new injury, ruling him out for the remainder of the season. In his absence, CSK struggled to win games, initially losing four in a row for the first time in the IPL.
