3. Dewald Brevis (MI) – 112 meter
One of the finest performers of the Under-19 World Cup 2022, Dewald Brevis got his debut IPL contract with MI. He displayed his intent and talent from his first game, wherein he scored 29 off 19 balls.
His best knock in the season came against Punjab at MCA Pune, wherein the Protea better delivered a knock of 49 off 25 balls. In a single over off Rahul Chahar, he hit a total of 28 runs comprising four towering sixes. One of the maximums went a long way (112m) to get registered as the third-biggest hit of the season.
Although the youngster was dropped in the second half from the playing XI, he did well to end the tournament by hitting 37 off 33 against Delhi Capitals (DC). Going forward Brevis will be an important player for Mumbai in the middle order.
