4. Romario Shepherd (INR 7.75 cr)
The beast all-rounder from West Indies was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the 2022 mega auction for a whopping price of INR 7.75 cr. Romario Shepherd is known for his hard-hitting ability and can turn the match on its head single-handedly. Besides, he is also more than handy with the ball and can rack up some good pace.
However, he has failed to make a mark in his debut season of the IPL. The West Indian was ineffective with the bat in the two matches he played, scoring 32 runs at a strike rate of just over 120. Shepherd also proved to be costly with the ball, giving away runs at an economy rate of 9.38 while taking only three wickets.
As a result, he was dropped from playing XI. He has failed to live up to the expectations and justify the big paycheque spent for him at the auction. Shepherd will hope to bounce back and showcase his talent if another opportunity comes his way in the remainder of the 15th edition of the tournament.
