3. Abdul Samad
Abdul Samad, a right-handed batter from Jammu and Kashmir, is known for his ability to strike the ball long. He is only the fourth cricketer from that region to feature in the IPL. In his 13 first-class matches, he has scored three hundred and four fifties. He also bowls occasional leg-spin and has bagged six first-class wickets.
He was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 2020 IPL Auction. In his opening season, he scored 111 runs at a strike rate of 170.76. He scored as many runs in the 2021 season with a strike rate of 127.58. In the 2022 season, he played only two matches and scored only 4 runs.
Samad was also one of the retained players in the 2022 auction by SRH. But his recent decline in form has kept him away from the starting XI. The upcoming season could be the make-or-break season for the 21-year-old.
